Early on in the renovation process, Jenna mentions that she’d like some terrazzo, saying she likes its imperfect feel. They want to redo the space, starting with the floor. Jenna and Chris are thrilled with the look and love that this new area doesn’t take up too much lawn space. “Our main goal was to check off your wish list but also not make it look like a remodel or an afterthought,” Pyle says. After: This fenced-in area allows for some privacy. The result is a space that feels comfortable while also making the exterior more grown-up.
Once the fence is up, they create a relaxing sitting area with elegant furniture and even a water feature. But since it’s hard to fully relax without some privacy from the neighbors, these HGTV hosts add what they consider a must-have for almost any yard: a fence.
